CoolKits4U garments are made using high-quality, moisture-wicking performance fabrics designed for comfort, durability, and everyday wear. To keep your kit looking and performing at its best, please follow the care instructions below.
Basic Care Instructions
- Machine wash inside-out in cold water (never above 30°C, lower if possible)
- Wash with similar colours only
- Use powder detergent where possible to reduce residue build-up
- Avoid tumble drying where possible; tumble dry on low heat only if necessary
- Do not use bleach
- Do not use fabric softeners or dryer sheets
- Do not dry clean
Additional Care Tips
Always wash in cold water.
Performance fabrics are designed to be cleaned at low temperatures. Hot or warm washes are rarely required and can damage fibres over time. Cold washing is also more energy-efficient.
Air drying is strongly recommended.
Tumble dryers can damage performance fabrics and reduce garment lifespan. Dryer sheets leave residues that trap dirt and sweat within the fabric.
Choose detergents carefully.
Powder detergents are often preferred for performance fabrics as they clean effectively without leaving residue that can clog fabric pores and reduce breathability. If using liquid detergent, avoid formulas containing softeners, fragrances, or optical brighteners.
Avoid fabric softeners, optical brighteners, and fragrances.
These additives coat the fabric fibres, reducing moisture-wicking performance and causing lingering odours and a rough texture.
Do not wash with garments containing zips, hooks, or hard fasteners.
Zippers and rigid components can rub against performance fabrics during washing, leading to fraying, pilling, or tearing. Avoid overfilling the washing machine.
Avoid washing with towels or denim.
Rough fabrics such as towels and jeans are highly abrasive and can significantly reduce the lifespan of performance garments. Wash separately to maintain fabric quality.
